That's the name of the new band from the ex-members of now defunct band "Creed".
I thought Creed was a good band. Not great. I don't own any of their albums but I do like some of their tunes.
I heard the latest single from this new band Alter Bridge; it's called "Open Your Eyes".
Kind of reminds me of Queensryche a little bit. I think the band has potential sans Scott Stapp. I heard he's on a solo album. I heard a little bit of a song off an album he's about to release and boy, I don't know. It doesn't rock. He's really going for the heartstrings and that's tough to pull off right for a rocker.
I hope I don't get too old not to appreciate righteous rock. I'm just a little tired of the melancholy and singing about debauchery that most rockers sing about today.
How about some deeper songcraft guys?
Man, where the hell is Collective Soul? At least Ed Roland could write some meaningful songs. Last I heard they fired their lead guitarist Ross Childress. That pretty much means a whole new sound for them. That could be really good or really bad. Sigh.
Peace out.

I always kind of detested Creed; it always seemed like they were being surreptitious with their messages. As artists I have no problem with them mixing faith into their art; I do have a problem with them being purposefully vague when confronted about it, to the point of almost lying. And, their music sucked. The music was drab and unexciting and the lyrics were oversimplistic. That said, i think Stapp was a big part of the problem, and I wouldn't mind at least giving the new band a chance. We'll see if they improve at all...
