I am new to Mac, but I am now the proud owner of iMac, Time Capsule (TC), and Macbook Air.
I just had a Sonos system installed in my condo and it is absolutely fabulous.
However, I would like to share the music with Sonos that is currently located on my NAS (TC), rather than my iMac. It makes more sense for me to do it this way, because the TC is constantly on.
Sonos asks for the name of the "path to a networked share.", which I cannot figure out. I assumed that this would just be \\Name of TC\Name of the 200GB disk image I created on the TC to store my tunes, but it doesn't like it. It also wants a user name and password, which I assume are the ones used to access the time capsule from the finder folder.
I used disk utility to create a 200GB disk image on my TC, which I will reserve for music files and other stuff. I did this to prevent Time Machine from chewing up the full drive. Does this make sense?
Therefore, if you can help a newbie out, I would be most appreciative.
