How well does "CyDelete" un-install packages compared to Cydia's un-install? Is one better than the other? I understand the simplicity of CyDelete but does it completely un-install packages? It looks like it wants to install a few other utilities to do the same job as Cydia.

I'd like to here some opinions from people who have used CyDelete or have done it both ways for comparision.

Thanks in advance...

i've been wondering the same thing. ideally, it'd just apt-get remove the package associated with the icon. if it doesn't do that, then the developer must not be operating at full capacity.

If it uses apt-get remove, then it should be getting all of it. If it's using some other method, then it might not be. However, using apt-get remove seems to be the easiest way, so it probably wouldn't make sense if it wasn't using it.

I assume it does apt-get remove. Otherwise it would still show up in the package lists, no?

oh, you're right. yep, it's the same as uninstalling with cydia.
