After a repair, how many more months is the machine under warranty?

I had my MacBook repaired for a screen issue a few days before my Apple Care expired (mid September). Right after I got it back I noticed a few issues but the most annoying one is the screen flickering. I could not afford to bring it back for a second repair because of school. Now that finals are over, I will be bringing it back to the Apple store for repair but I'm afraid they won't help me after close to 3 months.

What is the policy for extended warranties after repairs?

You pay out of pocket for whatever repair they determine is necessary. If you are still under the warranty then you only pay for accidental damage, but it sounds like your Applecare has expired.
