Syncing with multiple computers

Just bought a 32 Gig Touch for my wife for Xmas. Have set it up with my computer; some songs and movies; so she has something on it at Xmas. Will there be a problem when she syncs it with her computer??

you can only sync one iPod touch with 1 computer at a time, syncing with a new computer will wipe everything on the iPod ;)

What if I'm only looking to hook up the iPod to a different computer to charge? Is there a way to prevent automatic syncing and just use the PC as a charging station?

charging it is fine, you can charge your iPod from anything that has a spare USB slot, mine varies from a ps2, ps3 and my computer lol

how do you disable the autosync? I'm guessing via iTunes?

you mean you want to manually add your songs on your ipod?
yes its done in itunes. connect your ipod and click on manually manage music.

That is no problem as she will probably want to put her own material on it any way. Just that we will be on holidays away from the computers at Xmas and I want her to have something on the Ipod to play with!

In the iTunes preferences under the devices tab you can check a box to prevent ipods and iphones from automatically syncing

Disabling iPod and iPhone autosync is under the iTunes preferences->Advanced tab.
