Good price for a Mac GTX 285?

I just purchased a new Mac version of the GTX 285 for $350.00 on eBay... Free shipping and no taxes. Is that a good for the "Mac" version?

Here in the UK Apple want over £350 for the card so to me its a great price

depends. I am going to go out on a limb and say that you bought yourself a PC version of the card that the seller has flashed to Apple EFI. If that is the case, then no, I wouldn't say you got a good deal. Can you find out if you purchased a genuine apple card or a flashed PC card? many ebay sellers are making boatloads of money by doing this, using methods that were discovered and created by individual users, then basically stealing the method and making money from it.

It is for sure a Mac card, NOT PC.

Reflashing the 285 requires new chips doesn't it? It isn't as straightforward as the 4870 or 4890 flash.

Who's talking about reflashing? It doesn't need it, it is a Mac card for Macs! Mac logo all over the box and card.
