I'm still a fan of Wonderboy in Monsterland, Starcraft, WC3, Realm of Darkness Quest for Glory, Duke Nukem 3d, MK2, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, F-Zero X and Goldeneye.

Even though the games I've played on a mac has not been extensive, I did enjoy Phantasmagoria, Alice, Fallout 2, Forgot the one when I was in Kindergarten, Number Munchers!

SS2 wowed me.
Marathon Trilogy is THE BEST.
As the first shooter, first multiplayer shooter, I played, Marathon impressed the heck out of me, and provided hour upon hours of group fun, so it has a special place in my heart. This made Doom look oh so dated...
Others I'd place at the top of the list: Myth Series, Phantasmagoria, Half Life series, Homeworld, Unreal Tournament series, The Beast Within (Gabriel Knight), Vampire the Mascarade, and Warcraft.

SS2 was really good! I have gripes, as the first took over my life for a few weeks, but all and all the second is up near the tops on my favorites.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Marathon 2 was a blast multiplayer back in 97, but it's no System Shock... :o
OK, I need to note that if best game ever means almost endless re-playability, I'd give it to DOTA -- even though this WC3 mod has RAGED me more times than I can count.

I loved Lemmings back in the early 90's. I have the PS3 version and I am underwhelmed by the interface. Does anyone know the best way to play it on a current gen Mac?

It might run under the SheepShaver emulator. I'm still using Mac OS 9, so the four Lemmings games I have (including two Xmas Lemmings versions) work. :)
(Of course, using SheepShaver is actually illegal since you have to make an image of a PowerMac's ROM to make it work ... even if you still own the PowerMac, you don't own the rights to make a ROM image from it.)
