Do 21.5 Imacs come preloaded with operating system? Another words, are they ready to go once they hit my floor (coming from imac store?)
Thanks.

On that note, I love it how all Apple products are packaged fully charged. When I bought my first iPod (3G, one with the glowing red letters), I opened it, pressed the play button and the thing lit up like a bloody Christmas Tree.
How can anyone not buy it when they see that?

Yes they do, every one is ready to go. Power up watch the welcome screen, put a few personal details in and you're ready to go.
If you don't get the welcome screen it's probably a used/returned product.

Whoow, this is what I want and expect from contemporary equipment.
With PC, it has always been a different game. Always big unknown with every new computer. Anyway, enough of THAT b*****t! I'm going Apple!
Great thanks to all.

You're good to go with lots of software out of the box.
I love how you call the Apple store the iMac store. Perhaps they should change the name considering the popularity of these new iMacs! :)

Certain pc's can be a chore to set-up for the first time - entering registration codes, product keys, trying to find these keys on the packaging, etc. Like a previous poster said, you'll have to put in some personal data, but not much.

What? PCs may be shipped with a whole lot of OEM crapware but unless you've just built a rig yourself or specifically ordered a machine with no OS preloaded, all PCs come with a preloaded Operating System.
Preloading an OS on a new computer isn't some revolutionary Apple Macintosh-only idea envisioned by Steve Jobs years ago and stolen by Microsoft.
