Production Suite

The Apple Store has come back up and they're offering a "Production Suite" for $1299 with FCHD, DVDSP3 and Motion - and Motion is now shipping.

Any film professionals or enthusiasts considering getting this? Is it a good deal?

I will make the comparison based on the Belgian Prices... so in Euro's

FCP HD : 1079,01
DVD SP3 : 538,99
Motion : 299,00

total: 1917,00

Production suite: 1419,00

so if you don't have any of the programs and want them all: get production suite, you will have 498,00 euro left over for a DV camera, or extra ram or Harddrive... or whatever...

now I'm lucky I got my FCP for 400,00 euro... because someone bought it by accident and wanted to get rid of it :-D

The suite is only $499 with the education discount which is an AMAZING price!! I don't have any of these, so I may have to pick it up soon. Mmmm FCP HD, DVDSP, Motion, and Soundtrack for $500.

There is a Motion as well for the 299! That's about time!!!!
Actually there is now link button from the motion mini-site within apple.com
It's still say that it will be available in summer, BUT in the Apple shop you can already order it and its a 4-6 bussines day delivery.

thats astonishing:eek:, serious savings. its not final cut express? they don't do an educational version of the hd express? so its the full version but educational. if only i had a spare $499 :D
