View Full Version : How do i install Quake 3 on my Mac?

I downloaded Quake 3 from VersionTracker - http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/8961

I got Quake3.app out of it, then i moved that to Applications, then tried to run it and it shows me this message when i open the application..

You need to select the installation directory for Quake3 (not any directory inside of it -- the installation directory itself).

Not sure what that warning message means or what i have to... help please..

You installed an update, not the full game.

It's probably easier to play Quake Live online. Same game but free.

Quake Live is only the multi-player side of Quake 3 or Quake 3 Arena. There is no single player in Quake Live.

Non entirely true. You can play solo against bots by clicking on the practice links.

I have a PPC Mac so Quake Live won't work.. :(
