Hi Guys,
I had some family over yesterday and we sat down at the Mac and recorded a 2 hours movie together and now they're off back home where I would probably not see them for another 5-6 years!

I was recording on my iSight camera but then instead of pressing the little button that turns the camera off and finishes the movie, I pressed the X button that closes the window. The movie did not pop up next time I opened Photo Booth and I am gutted!

There is a .Mov File saved to my Photo Booth directory, however, when I try to play it...It doesnt work. Could anybody help please!

If you want to try it for yourself...record a 5second movie on Photo Booth and then instead of saving it, press the X button.

Is there no way I could atleast recover 5 minutes of the movie? Anything would make me happy!

Thanks

That is terrible.

I live in Arizona and my family is in Virginia. I know how you feel. My only suggestion would be to try to open the file with some other application. For instance VLC. VLC is free. If you have friends with Macs maybe they might have VisualHub. FFmpegX is also free. I did as you did and my movie works fine. Sometimes a file may get slightly corrupted where one program won't read it but another program has no problem with it.
