Think Secret provides a product-by-product breakdown (http://www.thinksecret.com/news/0408channelinventory.html) of current Apple stock and it's availability to fulfill orders on time.
Channel availability of several Apple products is expected to be constrained during August and possibly into September, Think Secret has learned. While specifics vary from dealer to dealer, reports indicate that a majority of Apple's products are experiencing longer-than-normal shipping delays.

It certainly looks like apple has a lot on its plate. Will people stop buying b/c of the long wait?

"Apple continues to quote an August ship date for the 30-inch display, although the NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra DLL video card that is needed to drive the massive screen isn't expected to ship until September."

I sure hope this does mean that my G5 with a 6800 card will be pushed from the 8/20 date to September. This is AI as well, so they might be full of **** as one would usually suspect.

I understand that Apple has a lot to ship but they're a mutinational company. They should expect large numbers of orders, especially for new products like the 4G iPod. I only say this because i had to wait over 2 weeks for my iPod and in the end i even drove to collect it myself. Poor Moogman is STILL waiting!

I like Apple as a company and love all there innovative and exceptional products. But you'd think they'd realise we all love their stuff and be able to cope with people wanting to buy it. Just a thought... :)
