Yes. Interesting that the fans at the top all apparently blow back into the room (if I'm "reading" the picture correctly). I would have thought that they'd duct the hot air elsewhere....

has the caption "Putting the metal plates on the fronts of the racks to restrict airflow."
Why would they want to restrict airflow? I thought airflow was a good thing?

Why would they want to restrict airflow? I thought airflow was a good thing?
I think it's to ensure that the fans on top exhaust the air drawn through the Xserves, not just suck air in from beneath them. Still, I don't see why they just blow it back out into the room. Must've been their only option....
