got my first screen flicker after 2 weeks and firm update

hi. got the first screen flickering after 2 weeks of use on my imac 27. also updated firmware 2 days ago. just right now the screen black out completely. i guess apple has one more frustated costumer... also have yellow tinge but i didnt care about that problem that much i guess i will prepare an exchange request

Edit: Maybe this is caused in low brightness? now that i think i changed yesterday the brightness almost to the middle. i have 6 bars on the right left. never happened with brightness more up. i will test it a bit more. what is the brightness level you use?

My screen brightness is set at the middle. I have never had any flicker and have not done the update. My iMac has been perfect except for the yellow gradient on the screen.

Do you think the flicker could have been caused by the update ? I think you are the second person I have heard say they have had the first flicker after doing the update and never had one before.

I would think changing the brightness within normal parameters would not make your machine flicker.

My I7 is supposed to arrive tomorrow. If it flickers or has any other weird problems, it's going back for a refund. Why swap for another machine until Apple actually properly acknowledges and fixes the problems.

i don't know because i never experienced this before the update. i've been working all day long in the computer and the screen flicker and screen blackout didn't happen again... hope it doenst get worse. i'll monitor it from now on
