This model was introduced on August 7th or 8th, and yet they say september was production week 37? Does that mean they had already been manufacturing them for a Year before releasing it?

My Mac mini is from mid/late-2005 so I already know it was built in 2005 but I am not interested in what month. My iBook was bought in late 1999 so I know the laptop was made in 1999.
Now if I had a computer bought in late-January or February, then I might be interested to see if it was made that year or the year before.
