You can also try the VLC player, which will play DVDs:

Also, try running Software Update to see if it does anything for you now that you've installed the SuperDrive

Next time, please do a search (http://forums.macrumors.com/search.php?) before posting, as this topic has come up many times before.

Your search would have turned up this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=78411) thread, and this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=58448) one too.

Anyways, the most recommended solution is to use Pacifist (http://www.charlessoft.com/) to extract the DVD Player application from your OS X install CD.

I have the same problem, perhaps you could help me as well. I purchased Pacifist, but I cannot locate DVD Player on the Panter OSX Install discs. Perhaps it is in a place that I cannot see, like inside another folder. Thanks if you can give me more clues on this one, which I know should be easy but isn't for me. Ruth
