Factory Default Brightness [Archive]

Hi, I was just wondering what is the default factory display brightness that comes with the Imac? Thanks!

I believe mine was set on full brightness ("16") when I received it. I prefer to keep it at a less eye scalding "10" though.

My 27 inch Imac was set to 100% right out of the box

mine was set at 100% right out of the box.

100% is WAY to bright for me, so I normally keep it at 40-45%.

100% is default, and about 50% is the ideal brightness for a properly calibrated display.
