Has anyone used the Virtix Arsenal plugin for iMovie to create lightsabers? I have used AlamDV (http://www.fxhome.com) on the PC and it is a very powerful app. But the Mac OS X version is over a year late and I'm tired of waiting.

While AlamDV will provide more control and more power, the Virtix plugins seem to have what I want--lightsabers, lightning, gun flashes. I'm just wondering how good these plugins are and if they are worth $35?

TIA,
Brian

Absolutely worth it. Although I did not use the lightsabre portion, I did play with it for fun, and it works great. I do use many of the other effects and they are easy to use and look pretty darn impressive to those unfamiliar with how easy iMovie and effects are.

Plus, depending on the bundle, you get a bunch of transitions, titles, and effects, a nice addition.

Just Google "iMovie plugin" and you'll get a few others.
