Hi Guys,

I just reformatted my system, but for some reason Torchlight the game doesn't launch, it says application not responding, the thing is I had Snow Leopard before I formatted aswell and it was working that time.. Why isn't it now?? I have Rosetta installed if that matters?

Anyone having same issue?

When did Runic release a version of Torchlight for OS X?

yea last I checked it was Windows only. Are you sure you don't mean Darwine? Pretty awesome game though if you're into Diablo or similar games. I just checked their website and it's only $10 (normally $20) until January 4 - very good deal. The music is also phenomenal

Edit: http://www.torchlightgame.com/faq/#faq17
We are currently working on a version of Torchlight for Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6+). However, the editor will likely not make the transition to Mac OS. We have not made any decisions regarding versions on any other platforms as of this time. We do not currently have a release date for the Mac version.

Torchlight works extremely well with Crossover Games. I bought it on Steam and installed it in Crossover Games that way.

A legit version, or pirated? I googled that and all I get are torrents..

Yup, an unauthorized pirate version. There is no native OS X port.

The CIDER version would be a CIDER wrapper that you put in the game itself. It could be a legitimate version of the game installed to the CIDER wrapper.

I used Crossover Games because it supports the Steam client, and Steam put the game on sale for $4.99 during their holiday sales.

If you pirated the game itself, then shame on you. Even at full price, it is only $20. If you can't afford that, then you shouldn't be playing games.
