Just trying to get other people's opinion of OpenDNS versus Google DNS. I currently use Comcast's DNS, but read and heard it's safer and faster than using Comcast's DNS.

If DNS is a "phonebook," why is one service's DNS faster or safer?? In terms of safety, I am imagining that all DNS are using the same database/phonebook? And when it comes to speed, I figure the one with the least number of people using is the fastest?

im staying away from google's massive information mining.

I tried OpenDNS and i dont like it, i didnt see significant speed improvement, while I did see it altering my browser default behavior.
