Hi,

Im currently trying to make my personal website, i have designed a logo in Photoshop (image below) and was just wondering how do i crop the logo and get rid of the white bits on the side which are not needed, so all I have left is the cirles and the lines on the side?

Many thanks

Uh.. It looks to me as if you have made a logo, used printscreen and saved it in another program. If that's the case, why? :p
To crop an image in photoshop, use the cropping function (keyboard shortcut "C") and crop yourself crazy.

To save in Photoshop, click File -> "Save for Web"

Cropping is only a rectangular function. If you want to mask (silhouette) the image so that the white areas are transparent, you can use the Help > Export Transparent Image... in Photoshop. I think you will need to know how to use the masking tools (see screen grab below) to identify the areas to make transparent.

I think you could use the Extract tool.(its under Filters IIRC)

what you want to do is save for web as a .gif. you will have an option to make a color transparent. Just make white the matte color.

thanks for the help guys. If I saved it for web, and then made white transparent, could I then export it into another PhotoshopDocument? Because when I try to move it via the move tool it doesnt seem to want to go.

is it in a layer or is it just the backround? I'm pretty sure it has to be in a layer to move.
