Is it safe to buy an iMac right now?

I want to go the the Apple Store this week and pick up a 21.5'' iMac, but I keep reading these stories about screens showing up with yellow tint and a bunch of other scary stuff.

Buy now or wait? How long?

Go for it! From what I have seen and read, the issues are mostly with the panels in the 27" iMacs. You should feel certain that your machine will be great, on the chance that it is not, it is nice to know that Apple will take care of any problems.

I encouraged a couple of friends to pick one up. They love it! They haven't been out too long, I think now would be a great time to buy one!

I got one last week. I had what seemed to be a video card issue. I brought it back and exchanged it within a few min. I haven't seen the yellow tinge in either of the two computers. I'm happy.

Go for it, I bought my iMac 3 weeks ago and it's working perfectly fine. :)
