Has a anyone gotten their yellow screen taken care of to their satisfaction whether through repair or replacement?
I am waiting for machine 4 and hope that they will have addressed the yellow screens by then.

Just posted this in the yellow tinge thread, so sorry for the repetition (although this IS the umpteenth thread on the topic anyways) :
Finally got a keeper
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, now on my fourth i5 iMac...and it appears to be be tinge-free (and I am very sensitive to the tinge). I waited until today (one week now with #4) to be sure the tinge didn't develop after being out of the box for a few days. First iMac was a week 46 (yellow tinge at bottom), second was a week 48 (yellow and pink splotching accross the screen, as well as two dead pixels), third was a week 48 (didn't check the tinge-boxed it right up after seeing FIVE dead pixels in the blue loading screen). For the fourth I demanded they unbox the machine in the store - a week 52. No dead pixels, no tinge, no flicker, no HD grumbling.
Knock on wood...I think I finally got a keeper.
Now I'm just enjoying the amazing gaming this machine is capable of (which really came as a surprise). So far I've been playing COD4, Sims3, L4D(1), Dirt2, Dragon Age, and Tropico 3. Everything maxed out except AA (which from what I understand wouldn't help with this configuration anyways).
I was worried I would need an i7 for the gaming described above, but it isn't necessary. Now I'm happy with the i5 purchase since I had to go into the store so often to exchange it. I'd still only be on #2 if I had gotten an i7.
Best of luck to all the 27"ers out there!

Yes and no...
Yes as in I feel they have done everything I have asked of them and aside from 3 swap outs, they have a case # and the knowledge that they will either fix, or swap me out yet again once they figure out the fix to the issue.
No because I still have a 27" iMac with a yellow tinted area on the bottom :).
At this point it's just a waiting game, both the Applecare people via my phone calls and the local store are all very aware of the issue and have told me over and over they will fix it when Apple has it resolved. Not much more I can ask for really.

No. Not yet. Not until I bring in my second one for a repair and they fix the display.

I guess if you have them document the problem and they never fix rev a's some luck people might end up with Rev Bs, to fix the issue.

Yet another thread?
This is like walking in several different pubs and always seeing the same group of boozers at the end of the bar, telling the same old stories, nodding in agreement with each other and asking everyone if they are satisfied with the color of the head on their Guinness.
"Ere mate, I'd take that back if I woz you. Ain't white enough froth."
"Really, I hadn't noticed and was enjoying my drink till you mentioned it."
"Nah mate, look at it! Looks like a cat peed on it dunnit?"
"Well, now you come to mention it... righto, I'll take it back and exchange it."
"Nah, I already been through six of 'em and they're all the same. Get a refund mate."

Yeah, and how do we dare to question Apple global superiority in the first place?
If we can't gracefully take blinking, yellowish screen, maybe we should switch to PC, mate?
What, not so funny?
But seriously, IMHO the yellow tinge is simply a batch of substandard (read: faulty) screen panels which Apple apparently can't replace with something better for now. If somebody doesn't see it, or doesn't care - good for him/her! I want a computer for photo editing and for this application decent screen quality is kind of important to me.

Your story missed out the malcontent in the corner shouting at them claiming that nothing is wrong with their drink and they don't know what they are talking about.

Maybe these threads about yellow tinge would stop if Apple communicated about this, like "We know there's a problem with some screens having yellow tinge and we're working hard on it to solve it. When we've got a solution, we will exchange iMacs/screens from people who received a faulty iMac. Until then, hold on to your current iMac".
But I think Apple won't acknowledge the problem.
BTW, despite the yellow tinge I have, I am a happy costumer enjoying my i5 which is perfect in every other way (and assuming Apple will solve the problem some time).
