problems with username and password

I bought my imac from ebay and didn't get the username and password. I am trying to reload photoshop because of problems but I cannot get past this. Is there a way to get past the username and password?

If you don't have easy access to the original password (email or phone the first owner), you can use the OS X system disk. Boot from the disk and it should give you a menu option to reset the password. Hope that helps!
