Man, I use that sucker a lot and I can honestly tell you all, not once, not once have I inserted the SD card into the DVD slot! 🙂

Very convenient feature and about damn time!

I could not believe how fast it was as well mate, it was just rocking the photos off.

Has anyone tried the SD slot with AVCHD footage and how well it performs bringing that in?

Is there a way to make iPhoto recognize an SD card in the same way as it recognizes a camera when you connect it via USB?
