Project NATAL, MS XBOX 360, human movement console? like sci-fi?

this years CES is like bringing scifi movie into reality.

I dont quite understand the whole thing, but sure looks exciting.

This has a really good demo/concept video (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/projectnatal/). If they pull this off, it really ups the bar. But it's, what, a year away? Plenty of time for others to catch up.

Natal is supposed to come out this year and, at least in the video game space, the other contenders have already announced there intentions and nothing is as ambitious as what MS is going for. Nintendo is obviously the established player w/the Wii's motion controls (upgraded to "motion+" late last year) and Sony is basically going w/a next gen version of a Wii controller, but MS is really swinging for the fences (which is not very typical of them).

I don't think motion control is right for everything, but I would like to sit down on my couch and 'flip thru' my 360 dashboard w/o having to use a controller.
