Hi,

I am editing a project in FCP. I exported it out and opened up Compressor.
I then Used the HD DVD H.264 90 Minutes Setting to encode my HD quick time.

When that was done and I brought that into DVD Studio Pro and tried to burn a DVD. DVD Studio Pro started encoding the file again.

Why is this happening? What Can I do to work around this since the Compressor encode was already a 3 hour job I dont have time to wait another 3 hours.

any ideas??

thanks!

Do you make a DVD in SD or a HD-DVD in HD?

If you make an SD video DVD, then the new encoding process is needed as SD DVDs use the MPEG-2 codec and your encoded file via FCP is using the MPEG-4 codec.
