I have a few dozen documents attached to a certain application but I need to duplicate them for another user.

The permissions read:
MrCheeto - Read & Write
Staff - Read Only
Everyone - Read Only

If I copy this file to my new user, I need to delete MrCheeto from the list, after all it's a copy. However the minus-bar is grayed out ONLY when I select MrCheeto.

Ideas?

You'd need to use root to change ownership of the files to someone else.

This might be easier, though: Instead of copying the files as yourself (which will make the new files owned by you, since you're the one copying), copy the files as the new user.
