Some websites never turn to open up in my iMac.
I don't know what is the reason.
It just takes too long to load and never loads.
Also MSN messenger is also not loading.
Can someone please assist.

Have you tried different browsers and on different networks? I'd start there and see if you can narrow down the problem. As you wrote the question, it could be anything.

None of the browsers open the site. It works on my windows xp. But i had shared the internet on XP and using my iMac with it and everything else works except few sites & MSN

Sounds like a problem with the internet sharing through XP setup, to me.
Does the iMac work fine when connected directly to your connection source?

Heh.
Right, how about this as a crazy idea.
Try plugging the iMac into the network and try the websites:
- If it works when directly plugged into the network, the issue is the XP machine.
- If it doesn't work then the issue is the iMac.
Either way you've managed to isolate the problem further and can reduce the size of the problem making it more likely for you to solve.

They should all open.
I haven't encountered this problem at all, ever.
Are you sure it's not your router settings?
Or maybe modem settings, because sometimes when you do a firmware update, they tend to block out lots of sites without really asking you.
This could also be some parental control thing on your Mac.
Sorry that's really all I can tell you.
You didn't give us much info.

It is working perfectly with my internet hooked to MAC directly.
All the sites are opening. But still MSN isn't connecting.
Otherwise, it seems to be fine ....
What to do now !!!
