Recording on 2g vs 4g MBP

anyone use garageband all the time? what's the minimum amount of memory needed? record 4 tracks at most...my macbook pro purchase it only to record...what's the skinny

Do you mean recording 4 tracks at once?

I'm sure 2GBs of memory would work but 4GB would be more ideal. If you're using 2GB, you should probably quit all your applications except Garageband (and Finder obviously).

Also, in Garageband's preferences, you can change settings to make sure recording the tracks won't slow down your Mac too much.

I'll record however is best, I think the 4gb would be ideal, it's either that or applecare at initial purchase, but if i can wait for applecare I will
