Haha. Actually, you'd be surprised how many people DO keep their iPods in socks. Albeit, not "custom" designed sock cases like that beaut. :D

I used to keep it in a sock as well. I have yet to find a case that doesn't scratch my iPod -- well, except maybe for these:
