MBP or Imac ?

I have the first UB MBP 15" which cost me £1700.

It has the 2.53 CPU, dual video card with 512mb 9600GT card, 4GB DDR3 Ram, 320GB HDD.

Has 2 years left on the Apple Care and was thinking of selling to a mate because I never use the laptop outside of the house.

I was thinking about buying the 21" Imac. How does these compare speed wise with the MBP ?

I hear there is alot of problems with the Imacs at present ? True or false ?

iMac has better CPU but worse graphics card. How much is he/she willing to pay for it? You could just get external monitor and attach your MBP to that and use it as a desktop.
