ok, so after years of wanting an macbook yesterday a got a new unibody macbook white, and only after one day when i look at the battery it stays at 99% the magsafe light is green but it wont go to 100% is this something to be concerned over? thx

Nope, you're fine. 95-100% is considered "full" to preserve the battery and prevent overcharging damage.

excelent, i was starting to et a bit nervus after one day, btw does anyone know how long the battery lasts before i have get apple to replace, because i got it for university and it needs to last me 4 years

Apple claims up to 5 years. But it has yet to be proved.

thx i just have one more question, i turned the macbook off overnight (magsafe unplugged) and now its at 98% and wont go up? does it lose power when off?

It doesn't charge up to 100% unless it starts below 95%.
