HD Partitioning by Apple

I'm taking the plunge switching from PC to Apple (27" iMac).

I mostly use a comptuer for photo editing and web surfing.

I've read that partitioning the HD can speed things up when handling large photo files (photo.net).

Does Apple provide this service at the time of order or is it a DIY?

My advice:

If you dont know what partitioning is or how it could benefit you -- then dont do it.

Nothing you are doing would benefit from it.

Apple almost definitely wont do that for you, but it's incredibly easy using Disk Utility.
