Non functioning topcase Macbook 13inch.

Greetings; recently my 13 inch black macbook's trackpad and keyboard stopped functioning. USB mouse and keyboards work. When booted the cursor is permananently frozen in the top left hand corner; I have bought a new incase and installed it (to no avail) I dont know what to do, any ideas, or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Did your KB have the brown or silver KB connector? The silver connectors were notorious for cracking at the folded area and not working correctly.
Has your macbook receive a liquid spill and is this the reason it stopped working?

I checked this and that was the reason by which I was replacing in the top case.
To the best of my knowledge there has been no water damage; if this is teh case is there any sort of repair?
