If i burn a cd on os x and put in a mac with os 9, will that comp be able to read the data files that are on the cd? What about if I put it in a comp that is running win 98? this is a cdrw

I believe if you are using Toast, you have the option to make it a hybrid CD, which will be readable by both Mac and Windows.

By default, OS X's built-in CD-burning software automatically burns the most compatible CD possible. It should work in OS9 and Windows no problem.
