You Guys I'm Desperate

OKay got this 1rt gen touch 8 gig, when i got it it was perfect than some douche jail broke it, well not with him anymore and not the same hard drive so it won't recognize on computer, so after many hours searching I was going to factory restore which what ever I don't mine doing except even that doesn't work ,the rare chance it does pop up in itunes a box comes up that says it's in recovery mode and needs to be restored I hit okay which is only option and the screen goes away, Please help me you guys, I don't know what to do, my computer will recognize but it won't install fully, I have re done my computer I have reinstalled Itunes, I have even reset all settings everything I need your help please :( :(:mad::mad:

Worst case solution: Refurbished iPod Touch 8 GB for $149. At least you are back to a practically brand new iPod with full warranty, brand new battery etc.

I think upgrading to a newer iPod touch may be the better choice, if all else fails.
