eMac graphics contradiction

At apple.com they say the eMac comes with an ATi Radeon 9200 graphics card that had 32 mb of DDR video ram. But, I went to the ATi website and it says that the 9200 has 128 mb of V-ram. What should I believe?

The 9200 that the ATi website refers to is their retail card. The retail Radeon 9200 PCI w/ 128MB DDR sells for $120.

The eMac doesn't contain a full AGP graphics card manufactured by ATI, just the 9200 chip integrated into the logic board. Apple decide how much VRAM to install on the logic board, ignore the specs listed on the ATI website they're largely irrelevant to Apple systems.

Well that is why I used the word largely… I'm also unaware of a non-factory-built Apple system ;)

No. Apple decides how much VRAM to include and there's not much you can do about it. Like someone else said, the chip is soldered to the logic board and therefore can't be replaced.

Unless you're doing a lot of gaming 32MB of VRAM should be enough to run applications.
