Playing Audio through TV via 2 RCA male out..

Hi, trying to play audio out via Jack on mac to twin RCA male outs ,plugged into flat screen (to playing movie sound (and video via mini dv)

However im getting no sound on either TV Ext.. Cable boxing says ''suitable for mp3 to stereo'' but no mention of PC to TV being workable but guessing the cables are the same?

Anyone have any suggestions or stumbled on this b4 ?

Macbook unibody running snow leopard..

What model is the TV? Maybe a picture of the back of the tv?

When you say mini dv, do you mean, mini DVI? Are you doing Mini DVI, to VGA to TV? Then Y cable to tv? Again a picture will help.
