Hey all,

Im a recent switcher. Back when I used my 3G ipod with itunes on winxp, I had problems every now and then with corrupt song files and such. In fact, that ipod has become unusable. The display is either blank or full of glitchy noise. I use it as an external disk now.

So . . . I have a 20GB 4G ipod now and am wondering if there are any tools I should be using to ensure that the ipod is in ship shape. Ephpod for windows had some cool library-scanning features and such. anything like that for the mac?

As a side note: I think this question may be a symptom of the neurotic hypochondria that windows users suffer from. As a switcher, Im having trouble getting used to the relatively maintenance-free ownership that comes with a mac. No antivirus software!? My god. I can't take it!

Thanks for the help
Charlie

I actually can't think of anything you should do for maintenance, other than battery life things. This corrupt song files you had, did you know they were corrupt when you put them on there?
