New iPhone 3GS MMS question..

I just upgraded from the 2G to a brand new 3GS and I tried to send a picture message but it gets close to the end and then shows a red exclamation point next to the picture. I have unlimited messaging, too if that helps. I don't know what to do? Help me out please! Thanks in advance.

up here in canada you need a data plan to send a MMS not sure about the US
 
You might need to call AT&T.
Make sure everything is setup right on their end. Reset your network settings and make sure your carrier settings thru iTunes are updated.
