Anyone know of a good, cheap or free app for making VCDs from Quicktime movies? I use EyeTV all the time, and make lots of Quicktime CDs, but it would be great if I could make them into VCDs. Almost everything I record is <1 hr.

EyeTV says that it will work with Toast 6 to make VCDs, but I suspect that once I've created my 45 minute, 225Mb Quicktime movie, there must be some program (other than $99 Toast) that will make a VCD out of it.

Thanks.

I like Toast, but you could try ffmpegx. All you really need is something to encode to VCD - the burning you can do yourself (with the Finder).

Look for a GUI front end to mencode (like ffmpegx) and try that out.
