Congrats, hope it comes is good nick.

Ordered the same and estimated shipping 20th and delivered on 28th.

What ram did you order. Looking to get 2x2GB but not too sure about what ram i should be getting eg EC & non EC etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Congrats to both of you! I'm glad you didn't get fixated by the woes expressed here. Hopefully you get flawless units; if not, Apple has great customer support.

BTW, the Crucial P/N is CT2KIT25664BC1067 4GB 204-PIN PC3-8500 SODIMM DDR3 Memory KIT (2GBx2). It has the correct specs so you don't have to worry about ECC, voltages and such.

Enjoy!

I hope your new machine is as excellent as mine. I have the same 2T version and have not had a single problem after almost two weeks (Week 53 unit). I added 2x2GB RAM from OWC without any problems.

Congrats! I just picked up my Week 53 i5 yesterday and finally a good one! (3 were returned to the local Apple store). I figured the Apple store had a bad batch and decided to look around for another reseller and found an i5 at a Micro Center. They said they just got them in on Friday so figured a good chance it was a recent build. I asked to open it and test it out prior to even paying for it and they were cool with that.

I am very happy to finally have a 27" iMac with no yellow tinge! Hope yours comes in the same! Good Luck!

what about 8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB so later I can add 8GB more.

Thanks.
