Itouch problem

Hello i just got an itouch 8gb 3.1.2 for christmas and i decided to jailbreak it with blackra1n. And it worked, but then I figured out that it was tethered so I tried to unistall cydia and i didn't know how, so I decided to reset the itouch by going to settings and deleting everything, after I was done it showed the symbol to connect to itunes, so i did and itunes pops up and says that itouch is stuck in recovery mode need to restore, do i restore it or what, also is my ipod still tehered even though i deleted everything?
