We are creating a web site to show Gary Weis short films etc, and have just discovered bloggers, and feel that this would be an excelent way to get feed back on what Gary Weis fans most want to see on the site.
But how do we guide people interested in this subject to our blog?
Thank you

That was pretty vague, but it sounds like you are trying to get people to see this guy's films. I would not suggest a blog, as those are more journals than anything. A bona-fide website is what would do you best. These are my favorite video sites. They get right to the point, but there is still community involvement.

If you aren't looking for a way to distribute videos, forgive my miscomprehension.

I think that a blog could be a very useful part of the site. If this guy is making movies and has a fan base, you can use the blog to update fans on the progress, upcoming projects, and announce releases, etc. Then you just provide a link to the more stationary/traditional website where they can download and/or watch his films.
It all depends on how interested people might be in this guy. As you can tell, I have not heard of him. ;)

Thank you both for that. Actually the olde English web site is very useful as thats very much what we have in mind.
Gary Weis is a film maker that did lots of short films on Saturday Night Live in the early days, and has a large fan base, he also directed The Ruttles with Eric Idle, and many others.
We will have the web site up in a couple of months, but just now am looking for ways to get feed back to make the web site as popular as possible and get maximum hits
