Nope. There is a backup battery in PBs... you did know that right? It allows for hot swapping for up to 20 secs I believe.
 
its like 2-3 mins but that only in the 15 and 17 inch powerbooks since there is no room for it in the 12"

but i know for a fact they do not have it in the ibooks since its "consumer"

only the 15" and 17" PowerBooks. iBooks regardless of size don't have them, 12" PB doesnt. iirc.

Hmm weird, I'll try it again later. Maybe I did have it plugged in but forgot.

well i might just have a faulty memory
i know the 12" iBooks dont
i know the 17" and 15" alubooks do
i think the 14" iBooks dont.

oh and dont get in the habit of pulling your battery out while the computer is sleeping 😱
