font sizes in PC Moz and PC IE

On my website, EmoOnline.com (http://EmoOnline.com), the font sizes are not displaying how they should be.

In Mozilla they look like this: http://EmoOnline.com/img/blah2.jpg

while in IE they look like this: http://EmoOnline.com/img/blah1.jpg

I've checked my CSS (http://EmoOnline.com/layout.css) plenty of times. I can't figure it out though.

I bet the solution is painfully simple. ;)

edit - This is in PC versions of Mozilla and IE by the way, I'll check out how big the font is on a mac right now.

And also, the settings for font magnification are correct (no magnification or shrinking) in both IE and Moz, so that's not it.

try setting your overall font size with ".9em" instead of 12px

Maybe they are just rendering the font Georgia a little off, my favorite windows fonts are verdana or tahoma, maybe one of those would show up properly?

do macs have tahoma?

I was trying to avoid Verdana because I think it looks ugly in large sizes and I want to keep the type very readable, and because it is so overused on the internet.

Actually, your Verdana argument is the reason why I do use it. Since it has been adopted by every single company that wants to make its site look new and cool, it has become the standard web font, and can give a site more credibility. You're right about it being overdone though, the only thing worse is Times.

Well, I ended up join not specifying a size at all and using Trebuchet MS --> Georgia --> Times --> San Serif (I think that's the order).

So far it has worked in all the browsers Ive tried except Mac IE (but nothing works in Mac IE so that's fine, I'm fine with it using Georgia).

I think Trebuchet MS fits the site very well and the standard font size looks nice.
