Hello,

I recently lost my MacBook Pro and unfortunately I won't have the money until the end of next month to replace it. While I have an old PC that I can use that runs using Windows I was wondering whether there is an application that I can use that would let me add / edit my music and videos? While I am aware that there are some applications that will remove all of your music and put it onto your computer I would like to keep my iPod mac formatted and not have to remove all of my files. I was just hoping to be able to edit things without actually removing all of my files or PC formatting my iPod since I will be going back to a new Mac soon.

Sorry if this has already been covered, but I couldn't find it.
Thanks,
Elisabeth.

By itself, Windows cannot read or write to an HFS+ filesystem, which is what a Mac-formatted iPod uses. Without a program like HFSExplorer to mount the iPod's filesystem and extract your media to your Windows PC, you will not even be able to see the iPod as a disk drive in Windows, much less add to it or edit what's there.

Short of reformatting your iPod to Windows, you'll be able to do virtually nothing but charge your iPod until you get your new Mac. Don't worry; a couple of weeks will pass by quicker than you realize.
