Hello all,

I have an intel iMac with Leopard (NOT Snow) and I upgraded my Bootcamp Win xp install to Win 7. I found out after the fact that there is a Bootcamp 3.1 that, if I understand correctly, was supposed to be installed before the Windows upgrade. The Win 7 upgrade install went fine and seems to be working well, but it doesn't show the bootcamp icon or options that were available under XP. Can I just install the boot camp update now? Do I need to? Any help will be much appreciated. Cheers.

Bootcamp 3.1 is a set of drivers. There's nothing on the mac side that you need to do. Just install windows, install bootcamp 3.0 drivers that came with the snow leopard disk then update to 3.1

leopard don't have bootcamp 3.0 on it's disks FYI

Spring for the $29 SL upgrade even if you intend to keep running 10.5, it's the only legitimate way to get the 3.0 drivers and Apple "support" for Windows 7.
