Attention everyone using Windows machines for folding: time to upgrade your clients to V5.02! The Mac OS X client is still at V4.00.

Wow... I was running the version 4 client on my Windows boxes... I upgraded 'em now though so everything should be peachy (and hopefully faster?).

its not going to make it any faster, thats what the core updates are for.

Correct! Client updates generally add new features or make existing solutions/hacks built-in; the "Scheduled Tasks/-service" solution to making F@H start hidden when your computer starts is no longer needed with V5.02, since it is now a built-in feature. Since the cores actually DO the folding, only a newer core would speed up folding.

What I find most peculiar about the windows gui version is... It looks like an old Dos program

I use the console version (2 copies of it on a HyperThreaded Pentium 4), so I can't really comment on the GUI.
